International Tender Notice Call To Investors For The Development/Upgrading And Exploitation Of The Anargyros Mansion Island Of Spetses-Greece.

THE ANARGYROS MANSION

The Anargyros Mansion is located on the historical island of Spetses (Greece), at “DAPIA”, the most central spot of the city. The island, a popular high profile touristic destination of yachts and cutters, is within 2 hours from Athens, either by sea (speedboats) or by land (car).

The Mansion was built in 1904, and was originally, and up to 1928, used as the home of the great benefactor of the island, Sotirios Anargyros. Thereafter it has been used on various occasions as a private  residence, Cultural Center and (during the German occupation) as military headquarters. It has been unoccupied for the last 32 years.

This beautiful two story structure covers an area of 552 m2. It is in a plot totaling 1.320 m2 . As can be seen in the picture above, it is in the middle of a beautiful garden, whereas its architectural neoclassical style is impressive.

Because of its beauty, architectural style, inside mural paintings, mosaic inlays and artifacts, it has been officially classified by the Ministry of Culture as a modern monument.

The owner, the Anargyrios and Korgialenios Foundation, is proclaiming an International Tender for the upgrade/restoration and exploitation of the building. The highest bidder will have the rights to exploit it, within the parameters determined by the law regulating Modern Monuments, for 25 years, subject to an annual rent of not less than € 10.000 a year (adjusted in accordance to the annual official inflation rate, but not less than 2,5%),  payable to the foundation.

The deadline for proposals is May 31, 2017. Interested parties, to which it is recommended to visit the structure, should request detailed information from the foundation and from the website www.akss.gr .
