The preparations for welcoming the new season of AKSS Conference Center starting in June 16 are almost done, and we are ready for the first visitors.
This year AKSS will host exceptionally interesting events (linked below), such as the conferences of the University of Crete, Department of Physics, as well as the Molecular Biology seminars, of which the Golden Jubilee in Anargyrios & Korgialenios will be celebrated with the participation of the great researcher, Nobel laureate JAMES WATSON, and will culminate with his proclamation as an honorary citizen of Spetses. These events will take place under the auspices of H.E., the President of the Hellenic Republic.
The aims of these conferences and events are part of the new targets and prospects of the Foundation for the enhancement of its educational and cultural role, as well as the inauguration of a starting relationship of dialogue and cooperation with the society of Spetses.
All the Authorities of the Island, which have been participating continuously and with great interest all the meetings of the Executive Board of AKSS, are invited to actively participate in the events and herald the new role of the Foundation, as was the spirit of the great Benefactor, Sotirios Anargyros.
With the kind contribution of the administration of “Poseidonio Hotel”, which is part of the property of the Foundation, this year’s program of events was printed and postered in public places around the Island. The posters detailing the program were compiled by the University of Patras with the care of professor Ioannis Matsoukas, who inspired of the event honoring Mr. James Watson.
Foundation’s dedicate faculty of many years, Mrs. Katerina Vrondamitou, Mr. Nektarios Sgontzos (photo), the manager, Mrs. Zoi Papadaki, and the rest of the personnel are giving their best to meet the visitor’s expectations.
