AMA House presents The Water or the Wave featuring two solo exhibitions, by Eva Papamargariti and Paola Pivi, at the historic Anargyrios & Korgialenios Foundation (AKSS), which operated as a former boys’ boarding school from 1923 to 1983 on the island of Spetses. Visitors are invited to engage with untold stories and hidden memories both through the exhibition and beyond in the building itself. In the artworks of Papamargariti and Pivi, subtle gestures, sounds, images and materials seek to connect with the viewer through the senses, and in doing so they reclaim the space as being a site of lived experience today.
